Judy and Bill Clause: Judy is a retired teacher and member of a teacher’s union; Bill was with KKFI, is a labor activist and past member of the Kansas City Labor Council:Â Diana and Bob Suckiel: Diana is a Retired Union Plumber, Local 8; Bob worked 40 years with 4 railroads as engineer, conductor, brakeman, switchman and laid tracks. He is a retired member of the Teamsters Union. The couple performed labor shows from Barre, Vermont (famous labor Hall there) to a folk festival in Vancouver, Canada
A commemoration of the struggle for the 8-hour Day, the Hay Market Massacre and the coming of industrial unionism in spoken word and songs from 1868 to the present, featuring Eugene V. Debs, Mother Jones, IWW, and the struggle for the dignity of work. The group will also commemorate the 101th anniversary of the Murder (execution) of Joe Hill in Salt Lake City
